South Strip Mirage Imperial Palace

This is the Stratosphere which is the tallest building in Las Vegas. I believe it's over 1100 feet tall and the viewing deck is about 1000 feet above the ground. They have some rides on top of the tower, one is called big shot, but it was too windy the day we visited and the rides were closed.

When I visited the Stratosphere, the skies were clear and that made it great for viewing the city of Las Vegas.

The Stratosphere is at the south end of the strip. The tall buildings in the background are downtown Las Vegas.

This view is to the east

This view is to the south. That's McCarran International Airport in the background.

This is another view to the south along the strip.

Another view to the south

This view is to the northwest. You can see some of the downtown buildings on the right.

This view is to the southwest. That's Circus Circus in the center of the picture.

This is the view to the west.

Viva Las Vegas is a variety show that plays at the Stratosphere and these are two of the showgirls.
