This is the Venetian. It's one of the newest and one of the nicest hotel/casino's on the strip.
This picture is taken at the main entrance to the hotel. Treasure Island is across the street.
They have gondola rides outside and also inside the hotel.
A view of some of the gondola boats taken early in the morning.
A view of the Venetian from Treasure Island.
When you enter the Venetian you see these beautiful frescos and murals. It was so extensive that I found it hard to believe they were there.
The Venetian carries the theme out in the streets of Venice. The ceiling is painted and lighted in a way that you feel like you're outside. There are many shops and restrauants along the way.
This is a gondola, inside the hotel.
My cousin Phyllis and I took a 15 minute ride on this gondola inside the hotel. It was a very romantic setting - our driver even sang to us in Itallian. It was great.
Here we are waiting for a boat to come under the bridge in the
opposite direction.
